DISCOVER ABOUT SCIENCE AND ARCHITECTURE

The balance of artistic sensibility and scientific methodology.

” DESIGN IS WHERE SCIENCE AND ART BREAKS EVEN.”

– Mieke Gerritzen

This blog focuses mainly in Science and Architecture. Science is the study of the natural world through observation and experiment. Architecture can mean: The art and science of designing buildings and some non building structures. As STEM students, we aim to connect and/or interact Science with Architecture. Design is where Science and Architecture comes together.

ABOUT THE WRITERS

Raga, Yaninah Breanna D.

Yaninah is a STEM student, focusing mainly in Science. Her hobbies are designing, writing poems and doing mediocre things. Her dream job is to become a Pediatrician one day as she likes kids and it’s her comfort zone to be with them. Yaninah likes listening to K-POP., she insists that you try to listen to them, especially ‘Spring Day’ by BTS. She is most likely to read a book than play games in her phone. Yaninah is a student of Don Bosco School Manila and likes the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Information and Communication Technologies, and Pre Cal (only if she can get the problems itself.) Reading is her name and writing’s her game. She’s great in writing poems but not at reciting them to everyone. She would like to thank her parents, her family and friends, and Ms. Flaviano for a beautiful and fruitful semester

Tawagon, Jean Lawrenz

Lawrenz is a student in the STEM strand. He studying to apply for architecture in the future the study and science of building structures. His eventual goal is to be able to help in the construction of several projects for poor communities and a few personal projects. He’s personal like and hobbies are drawing spending with family and friends, and reading. He takes inspiration from the vivid imaging he gets when he reads about stories and how they portrait buildings and other structures to him. He greatly in enjoys using programs and even games to help him cultivate his talent.

MINI TASK #1

The first task was our prezi presentation. Here we were to describe ours chosen course and how what it offers. Here my presentation about architecture was meant to help people learn what it was about.

The topic of the Prezi slideshow I made is about Pediatrics. As what is written on my information, I want to become a Pediatrician one day and I tackled all the significance of Pediatrics and medicine in the Prezi slideshow. Pediatricians are doctors who manage the health of your child, including physical, behavior, and mental health issues. They’re trained to diagnose and treat childhood illnesses, from minor health problems to serious diseases. I love kids and being a Pediatrician just sounds like something I love to do or be.

MINI TASK #2

The second task was our survey. We used this to ask people what they know, like and any other thoughts they had on our course. We used it to know what we they want to achieve with the course.

Since I’m a STEM student, the topic for my survey should be according to my strand. I focus on STEM A (Science) thus, the topic for my survey is all about Science. In this survey for Grade 4 students, I wanted to know how many of them may be able to remember their recent or past Science lectures so I made a mini quiz to test their knowledge regarding the subject Science.

MINI TASK #3

In the survey we made to be answered by Grade 4 students, we tackled on the use and importance of Technology. Technology is also a part and another branch of STEM. In the survey are questions like the frequency of use of the said gadgets and what games they play or what different apps they use. After the survey, we got the results and made a document regarding the said results about the survey that is answered by the Grade 4 students.

Science is Art. Art is Science.

Thus, creates this beautiful chemistry.
